Glover Park Group has appointed Obama Admin. alum Liz Allen to serve in the role of senior vice president. She’ll be stationed in the Washington, D.C.-based Democratic lobbying giant’s strategic communications practice.

Allen joins GPG after holding a series of senior roles in the Obama Administration. Most recently, she served as deputy communications director and deputy assistant to the President, where she led strategic communications planning for Obama’s policy initiatives and public appearances.

She was previously stationed in the White House’s communications office, where she was a director of message planning. She was also a director of public affairs and strategic communications at the U.S. Department of State, and a deputy communications director for VP Joe Biden.

She previously worked for the 2008 Democratic National Convention Committee and the Obama-Biden Presidential Campaign.

As senior VP, Allen will provide strategic and media counsel for the firm’s clients.
