The Hawthorn Group, an international public affairs firm catering to investor-owned utilities and other regulated industries, including Fortune 500 corporations and national trade associations, has promoted Suzanne Hammelman from chief client officer to president and COO.

Hammelman was one of the original partners that established the Alexandria, Virginia-based firm in 1991. She also has served as political director for the National Association of Homebuilders and worked in the U.S. Senate.
