barbara morganBarbara Morgan, communications director for Anthony Weiner's rocky bid for New York mayor last year, has joined SKDKnickerbocker as a VP.

Morgan directed communications for New Jersey's Dept. of Education after PR stints in the New York City Dept. of Education.

Her challenging PR assignment on the Weiner campaign boiled over in July when Talking Points Memo published Morgan's profanity-laced tirade against a former campaign intern who wrote a book about working for Weiner.

Capital New York first reported her hire by SKDK.

The firm said it has also added Eric Phillips, a communications advisor to Nassau County District Attorney and Congressional candidate Kathleen Rice; Natalie Guevara (senior A/E, M Booth), and Joshua Goodman, a state senate hand.

SKDK has recently advised Random House on the release of its Roger Ailes biography, worked successful pushes to legalize gay marriage, and handled Christine Quinn's bid for mayor of New York last year.
