Meyocks, a branding and marketing agency, hires Marcie Garcia to lead its strategy function. Garcia was most recently associate director of strategy at TBWAChiatDay. She previously worked for Wunderman Thompson and McCann, and has handled such global brands as Amazon, KFC, Moderna, Nestlè, T-Mobile and The Hunger Project. At Meyocks, Garcia is responsible for brand strategy work across the agency’s roster of food, agriculture, health and mentor brands. “Marcie’s successful track record across multiple industries speaks volumes about her strategic acumen and versatility,” says Meyocks CEO Kelly Ferguson. “Her ability to uncover insights and diversified perspective will expand our ability to consistently deliver meaningful solutions for clients.”

Erich and Kallman, the ad agency co-founded by Steven Erich and Eric Kallman, appoints Stephen Larkin as its first CMO. Larkin was most recently SVP, executive director of growth and partnerships for the U.S. at R/GA. He has also served as CMO at David&Goliath and 180LA. In his new role, his responsibilities include leading the effort to increase Erich and Kallman’s visibility within the marketing industry, overseeing all PR efforts and driving new client growth. “He’s changed the direction of many agencies through his intelligence, tenacity and team spirit,” said Erich. “His hiring will allow Eric and I to keep doing what we do best, which is focusing on our existing client relationships and growing their brands.” The news arrives on the heels of the agency’s recent announcement of its new Austin-based office and its win as agency of record for Gulf States Toyota.

Gold joins AGM from Pico International Dubai, where she served as director of creative. Before that, she was strategic business director for Pico Australia Pty Ltd and GM of total brand activation Australia. Previously, Gold held positions at George P. Johnson Experience Marketing (Sydney and Singapore), Jack Morton Worldwide and Onepartners. At AGM, she assumes a pivotal role in building the brand experience offering as part of the company’s strategy to develop a truly integrated full-service offering. “Her extensive background in experiential marketing and proven track record of success will be instrumental as we continue to expand our presence in the region,” said AGM managing director of the APAC region Jamie Crick.
