tina-marie adamsAPCO Worldwide has recruited agency vet Tina-Marie Adams from Ketchum to lead its Chicago office as managing director.

The senior client director and Midwest regional director for Ketchum takes a Windy City post at APCO vacated by Tilden Katz, who decamped for FTI Consulting in January.

Margery Kraus, CEO of independent APCO, praised Adam's PR career and "deep understanding of the Midwest."

Adams was Midwest regional manager for MWW Group for three years prior to Ketchum and held director posts at Hill+Knowlton Strategies. Her client experience includes Notre Dame, Target and Exelon, among others.

APCO executive VP Pete Wentz led the Chicago office on an interim basis since Katz' departure.

Adams started out as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune and editor at Gannett before moving into PR with FleishmanHillard and The Tierney Group.
