Matthew Beck, VP of strategic communications for Glover Park Group, has moved to the Investment Company Institute, the Washington trade group of mutual funds and other regulated funds, in a top PR role.
Beck takes a senior director, media relations, role with the ICI, heading all media and public relations for the group under chief public comms. officer Mike McNamee. At GPG, he focused on financial services, tax and trade issues after advising the House Ways and Means Committee on economic communications and policy. He held staff posts with Reps. Sander Levin (D-Mich.) and the late Robert Matsui (D-Md.), as well as former Congressman Brian Baird (D-Wash.).
ICI members include exchange-traded funds, investment trusts and mutual funds with about $18.1 trillion in assets and 90M shareholders.
