The 1 percent aren't exactly known for their sense of festivity and humor, but you'd never know that looking at some of the historic Murray Hill mansions close to O'Dwyer's decked out for Halloween.

Elaborate displays of pumpkins, skeletons and monsters adorn the mega-million dollar homes in the golden zip codes of Manhattan, delighting pedestrians on their way around the city.

Most of these neighborhoods are home to offices of expensive doctors and populated during the day by medical technicians and assistants who could never afford to live there.

We're all getting ready for something to go ghoulishly bump in the night to our childlike delight.
It's nice for a change to have some levity in the air.
