The Seattle School Board is requesting proposals from marketing and strategic communications firms that can provide a comprehensive, one-year communication plan.

The need for communication services comes as Seattle School District 1 this year approved a five-year comprehensive strategic plan focused on supporting students of color.

Seattle

The Seattle School Board wants a marketing and communications firm that can assist the district’s implementation of those efforts through the development of key public messages, marketing materials and a coordinated communications plan that will resonate with the Seattle community as well as the city’s students.

That communication plan is set to include research; graphic design and the development of marketing materials; video concepts; development of website content; and development and production of a coordinated one-year strategic communications plan to include a social media campaign, paid advertising placement, earned media with a focus on state and national educations publications; and marketing materials for several key initiatives.

Terms of the one-year contract are set to begin in August and run until August 2020.

Budget for the work is fixed at $30,000.

Deadline for proposals is 10:00 a.m. (PST) on May 21.

Proposals should be submitted via email, at [email protected].

Subject line of emailed proposals should include the RP number (“RFP05982”) as well as the project title (“Marketing and Strategic Communications Consultant for Seattle Public Schools Strategic Plan Implementation”).

Questions should be sent by 2 p.m. (PST) on May 14 and should be forwarded to Diane Navarro in Contracting Services, [email protected].
