West Des Moines, Iowa is accepting proposals from agencies that can provide digital marketing services to support the website and branding efforts behind the city’s “GoWest” advertising campaign, the economic development initiative designed to attract talent, families and employers to West Des Moines.

The Polk County city, the second-largest in the Des Moines metropolitan area, needs an agency that can help with the development and planning of a strategic digital and social media marketing campaign to elevate the GoWest brand through the creation of deliverables that will be used in grant applications, event planning and workforce and business recruitment efforts.

Scope of services includes planning and strategy, content development for multiple media channels, social media strategy development and digital marketing and website services. The RFP notes that the scope of services may be altered during the negotiation process.

A budget of $30,000 has been established for the project. The city is looking for an agency with experience in similar projects and prior work history with a governmental agency, and ideally, one familiar with West Des Moines.

The project calls for a two-year commitment based upon contract negotiations.

Deadline for proposals is 2:00 p.m. (CT) Friday, June 21.
