Burnet County, Texas is requesting bids from agencies that can provide tourism marketing services in an effort to promote the region and increase outside visitors.

The Central TX county, which sits about 50 miles northwest of Austin, is looking for a marketing firm to serve as an expert advisor to the Burnet County Tourism Department and identify and market key attractions, events, activities and natural resources for the development and implementation of destination marketing strategies that will promote and drive tourism to the area.

Scope of the work includes advertising and marketing work (creative strategy and design, as well as media planning and buying and conducting a coordinated advertising campaigns across print, broadcast and digital channels); public relations (creating messages that can be used across earned media, social media and paid traditional media channels as well as pitching storylines and press releases and developing a social media strategy; website development and maintenance (including web traffic analysis); and account management and reporting (preparing cost schedules and providing monthly status reports).

Terms of the contract are set to run for one-year period, with the possibility of renewal for up to three additional one-year periods upon agreement of both parties and contingent upon the Burnet County Commissioners Court’s approval.
