Carlsbad

Carlsbad, a city of 115K in San Diego County, is looking for a government relations and lobbying firm to represent it in Sacramento.

Boasting of a “small-town beach community feel,” Carlsbad’s business community is geared to the action sports, life sciences, technology and tourism sectors, according to its RFQ.

It wants a firm to handle a broad range of issues including local control, revenue & taxation, environmental sustainability, coastal planning, infrastructure, transportation, public health, housing and homelessness.

The desired firm also will coordinate Carlsbad’s advocacy strategies with the League of California Cities and other associations that share its legislative and intergovernmental priorities.

Responses are due Nov. 30. They go to the www.planetbids.com e-procurement site.
