Burlingame

Burlingame, a city of more than 30K people located ten miles south of San Francisco, is looking for a firm to provide strategic communications, marketing, content development and graphic design services. 

The RFP describes Burlingame’s residents as highly educated and fully engaged in community events and initiatives. 

More than half (55 percent) are white, 25 percent Asian and 12.5 percent Hispanic. Median value of a home is $1.7M. 

The City wants to hire a firm to analyze its existing public communications platforms and recommend opportunities for improvement. 

The firm will handle ongoing PR support, which includes monthly 30-minute “check-in” calls with the city manager and assistant manager, and media outreach. 

It will provide issue-specific communications support related to crisis (e.g., police or health/safety issues), events (ribbon-cutting), projects (new community center) and emergencies (air quality impacts, COVID-19 measures).
