Keene

Keene, a city of 25K people in rural southwest New Hampshire, wants to hire a firm to handle branding, marketing and communications work.

“This project will capture Keene’s authentic and uniquely special character and amenities in such a manner that both builds community confidence and attracts and retains the individuals, families and businesses that are vital to Keene’s long term community development,” according to its RFP.

The effort will market Keene throughout New England as “an ideal location for modern business and pleasure” by delivering messaging that is compelling and memorable.

Keene, which has never had a sustained branding campaign, is a two-to-three-hour drive from Boston, New York, Hartford and Portland.

It envisions hiring a firm for a minimum two-year marketing push.
