Alachua County, which is located in north central Florida, is looking for a partner for a social media and public education push for its Environmental Protection Dept. and Hazardous Waste Collection Center.
The RFP calls for using “social marketing techniques designed to influence targeted behaviors” and boost participation in collection programs.
Literature reviews, primary research (focus groups, surveys, interviews, edt) and program evaluation may be required.
The County runs programs such as Scoop the Poop, Keeping Grass Off the Streets, Fertilizer Free, MyYardOurWater.org and various Hazwaste collection events.
The Alachua County seat is located in Gainesville, which is 70 miles southwest of Jacksonville and 109 miles northwest of Orlando. More than 250K people live in the County.
