Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada wants to hire a firm to run a digital and ecommerce consumer campaign to expand the sale of Canadian food and beverages in Vietnam.

Though the Vietnamese have a positive perception of Canada there is limited awareness of the country’s food and beverages.

The campaign is to position Canada as a “supplier of safe, high-quality food from a pristine, sustainable environment made by trustworthy people,” according to the RFP.

The overall goal is to expand consumer awareness of products, especially those featured on the Canada showcase ecommerce platform.

That platform will include maple syrup, sugar, honey, vegetables, dried/frozen fruits, cuts of meat, processed fish/seafood, health & wellness food and alcoholic beverages.

Bidders must have an office in Vietnam and demonstrate they have more than three years of experience of working in the country within the last five years.

They must be able to meet with members of Canada’s embassy and consulate general in Ho Chi Minh City within 48 hours of notice.

AAFC intends to issue a contract that runs through March 31, 2024.
