The North County Transit District, rail and computer system serving northern San Diego county, seeks a partner for on-call marketing and communications duties.

It carries more than 10M people per year.

The firm will assist in ongoing campaigns that incorporate a wide range of marketing strategies aimed at effectively promoting the use of public transit, increasing awareness and ridership, and implementing branding of NCTD services to key audiences including existing core riders, occasional passengers and the general public, according to the RFP.

NCTD plans to issue a three-year contract with options to extend for two additional one-year periods.

It plans to budget from $500K to $1.4M for the work.

Proposals are due May 23 at NCTD’s PlantBids portal.
