National Tailgate Weekend was created in 2016 by Learfield Licensing Partners to provide college football fans a proper platform to celebrate the favorite pastime of tailgating.   More than 100 colleges participated in the inaugural run.

New York City lifestyle PR and marketing agency Magrino has been tapped to build momentum around this year’s edition scheduled for Oct. 7-8.

“For fans across the country, tailgating is just as important a part of game day as the actual game, providing fans opportunities to showcase their school spirit in some of the most fun and creative ways,” said Magrino president Allyn Magrino.  “We are excited to promote college football’s newest national holiday and tap into the passionate fans of tailgating across the country.”
