The Trump re-election campaign today banned Bloomberg News from covering its rallies and events, a retaliatory move against the media outlet’s decision not to cover the race for the Democratic nomination, which includes Mike Bloomberg.

Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager blasted Bloomberg for its “preferential” reporting policies.

"Bloomberg News has declared that they won’t investigate their boss or his Democrat competitors, many of whom are current holders of high office, but will continue critical reporting on President Trump,” he said in a statement. “At President Trump’s campaign, we are accustomed to unfair reporting practices, but most news organizations don't announce their biases so publicly."

Parscale added that the campaign will determine whether to engage with individual reporters or answer inquiries from Bloomberg News on a case-by-case basis.

Bloomberg News is unruffled by Parscale's decision. John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief, said his organization has covered Trump in a fair and unbiased way and will continue to do so, despite the restrictions imposed by Parscale.
