Rosemary Mercedes, who stepped down from her executive VP/chief communications officer post at Univision last March after a 15-year stint, has joined BBC Studios, Americas.
As senior VP-communications, she will work to elevate the brand’s position in the US marketplace and promote its various partnerships.
Mercedes will report to Gavin Dawson, senior VP-global communications at BBC Studios, who praised her experience in media relations, strategy development, reputation management and diversity and inclusion advocacy.
Prior to Univision, Mercedes was a public information officer at Pace University, consultant at Medialink Worldwide, senior account manager at Halogen Communications in Edinburgh and account manager at Seton Hall University.
