FTI Consulting has added biopharmaceutical analyst Barbara Ryan as a managing director in its strategic communications practice.
FTI said the Wall Street alum will advise PR and crisis communications clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors based in New York. Ed Reilly, who heads FTI's strategic communications unit, said clients will benefit from Ryan's perspective as they face "critical times of corporate growth and transformation."
Ryan, a frequent pundit on CNBC and go-to quote for healthcare stories, was a sell-side managing director and head of pharmaceutical research at Deutsche Bank for the past 20 years before steppding down last year, leading the bank's annual healthcare conference, handling IPOs, and working with institutional clients on marketing.
She was previously at Prudential Securities and Bear Stearns
