John Reid, a partner and managing director at newly acquired Qorvis, is enlisting as chief communications officer for the New York-based Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Association.
The nearly 10-year-old non-profit started by an Iraq veteran counts 300K members and supporters in the U.S. focused on the 2.6M veterans of the two campaigns, as well as their families through assistance, advocacy, and awareness programs.

Reid, who traveled extensively to the Arabian peninsula for his work at Qorvis, steps down after three years. The former TV newsman was communications director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and ex-Sen. George Allen (R-Va.).
Publicis' MSLGroup acquired Qorvis last week.
