coloradoColorado's tourism entity has postponed a competitive pitch process to handle its social media account.

The notice came April 8, a month and a half after agencies submitted proposals.

The Colorado Tourism Office in January pulled the plug on a review of its $500K PR account handled by MMGY, but pressed ahead with RFPs for advertising/marketing and social media. The CTO said it planned to hire an in-house director of PR in lieu of the PR account.

The SM account was pegged at around $300K. The CTO said this week that it is postponing the SM review as it evaluates its new PR and communications structure.

The CTO on April 8 awarded its $8M advertising account to Denver-based incumbent Karsh & Hagan.
