Korn Ferry Searches for New CEO of PRSA

By Jack O'Dwyer
Korn/Ferry International has been retained to look for a new CEO of PRSA to replace Bill Murray who resigned March 7, effective June 1.
Stephanie Cegielski, VP-PR for the Society, said a search committee has been named but she is not releasing who the members are because “we are still in the early phase of this process.”
Also not released were any of the specs for the new CEO. The previous search committee, headed by Debra Miller in 2006, had sought a president who would be “charismatic, an accomplished public speaker” and who would have a “vision” for the Society.
Cegielski said that the bid by this reporter to join the Society has been rejected. She gave no reason, although previously she said that the Society’s 23 pages of charges against us was the reason.
Those charges were rebutted in a 13,000-word posting on the O’Dwyer website that is also part of the May O’Dwyer’s magazine.
