grady crosbyGrady Crosby will take the VP/PA and chief diversity officer slot at Johnson Controls effective Oct. 1.

He takes over for Chuck Henry, who will retire at the end of the year after 27 years of service.

Crosby will shift from Johnson's power solutions group, where held the VP and global counsel title.

CEO Alex Molinaroli, said Crosby will follow Henry's "diversity of thought and experience to maintain the company's commitment to social responsibility, philanthropy and community involvement."

Crosby also will take the president post at the Johnson Controls Foundation.

The Milwaukee-based produces auto batteries/interiors and energy-efficiency systems for buildings. It employs more than 170K people.
