Michael Ramah, who took the acting CEO slot at Porter Novelli in July 2012 with the exit of Gary Stockman, has set up his own consultancy in New York.

Stockman succeeded Helen Ostrowski in 2008, joining the Omnicom PR unit after it acquired his firm Copithorne and Bellows in 2000. He held the top spot for four years.

Ramah, a veteran of Philip Morris International's Seven-Up operation, was PN's global strategy director prior to his elevation of the helm.

With the elevation of Karen van Bergen to the CEO position in early February 2013, Ramah slid into the chief client office slot.

Michael L.E. Ramah LLC opened this month in New York.
