Nadia Damouni, who was a top reporter at Thomson Reuters, will move to Edelman's financial communications practice as senior VP by the end of the month.
She'll handle mergers & acquisitions, shareholder activism, brand building and corporate governance.
Based in New York, Damouni will report to Lex Suvanto, managing director of financial communications and special situations.
At TR, Damouni was corporate board correspondent, reporting on Fortune 500 companies.
Earlier, she was editor for the Americas at Dealreporter.
Edelman handled 50 transactions during 2014, which ranked it in among the Top 10 M&A agencies.
