Liz Rosenberg, the longtime Warner Bros. Records publicist who has repped stars from Cher to Madonna, is closing down her firm at the end of June.

In a tongue-in-cheek press release, Rosenberg said after "two centuries" in PR repping "more than a few one-namers, a few thousand wanna-be's, several not a chance in hell and lots in between, I've decided it's time to take a very long, extended and well deserved break."

Rosenberg, who handled Madonna for three decades and worked the careers of Van Morrison, Van Halen and Fleetwood Mac, rose through the Warner ranks over 40 years from secretary to VP before setting up her own shop, Liz Rosenberg Media, in 2010.

Announcing her "retirement" in Page Six today, Rosenberg said: "I'm going to consult, advise and protect my peeps from the likes of Page Six forever."
