trumpThank you, Donald Trump for enlivening a slow summer news season

The master showman, PR genius and part-time Presidential candidate swatted away demands by the crowded field of Republicans seeking the White House. Trump doesn't do, "I'm Sorry."

He also had the best putdown, in responding to the New York Times about criticism from Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former Texas chief Rick Perry.

"Jindal, who has nothing. Rick Perry—I mean Rick Perry, give me a break here," said Trump.

Senator John McCain, who is the target of Trump's "not a war hero" because he was captured taunt, is a big boy.

The Arizona Republican withstood five years of torture in a North Vietnamese prison camp. He can take nonsense from Trump.

The New York real estate mogul can spout whatever he wants. It's a free country.

Trump's loose cannon approach has him leading the Republican pack for the nomination.

The bigger question for Trump: when will he get bored of the entire drawn-out nomination process, and just pack it up.

Will that withdrawal from the race come before GOP supporters tire of Trump's endless string of tirades and lack of any political policy--other than "I would make a tremendous President?"

The Donald's campaign is lighter than air.
