Allison Schwartz has joined Intuit of Mountain View, Cal. as VP-government relations and public affairs.

She moved from lobbyist Greenberg Trauig, where she was responsible for government affairs.

Bernie McKay, Intuit's global corporate affairs chief, called Schwartz "uniquely qualified" to handle the policy issues facing both Intuit and its customers.

Schwartz, who did a six-year stint as government affairs director at the National Assn. of Convenience Stores, also worked for Dickstein Shapiro, Alexander Strategy Group and National Republican Congressional/Senatorial Committees.

Intuit is the marketer of TurboTax online tax preparation product and Quickbooks small business system.

CEO Brad Smith presides over 8,000 employees who generated $4.5B revenues in 2014.
