French|West|VaughanFrench|West|Vaughan has been named AOR for women’s professional softball league National Pro Fastpitch.

Nashville-based NPF is an official development partner of Major League Baseball. Many of the league's players are former U.S. Olympians, and it represents women’s softball players from the U.S., Australia, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

FWV will provide event positioning, sponsorship support and media relations services for the NPF. The agency will work alongside NPF commissioner Cheri Kempf, a two-time Women's Majors National champion and standout pitcher during the 1992 USA National Team.

“With the proven appeal of elite women’s softball, the NPF is extremely well-positioned to grow its market share both on television and in stadium venues around the country,” FWV Chairman and CEO Rick French said in a statement. “The sport is exciting, fast-paced and driven as much by the star quality of these world-class athletes as it is by the action and intensity on the diamond.”

Raleigh-headquartered FWV is ranked #2 for sports PR, according to O’Dwyer’s annual rankings of PR firms.
