Hospitality, lifestyle and consumer agency Bullfrog + Baum has been named agency of record for Barteca Restaurant Group, owner of restaurant concepts Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant and bartaco.

BartecaNorwalk, CT-headquartered Barteca is the largest Spanish-focused restaurant group in the country, operating a half-dozen locations in Connecticut as well as additional restaurants in Atlanta, GA; Brookline and Boston, MA; and Washington, D.C.

Property Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant is a tapas restaurant led by James Beard Award-winning chef Christopher Lee, which specializes in seasonally inspired and locally sourced dishes and specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean. Wine Enthusiast listed Barcelona one of "America's Top 100 Wine Restaurants," and Travel and Leisure called the operation one of "America's 10 Best Wine Bars." Mexican and Latin American concept bartaco, which serves upscale street food with a coastal flair, was introduced in 2011. That restaurant will see five new locations this year.

Barteca was founded in 1996 by CEO Andy Pforzheimer and creative director Sasa Mahr-Batuz.

As AOR, Bullfrog + Baum will work with Barteca’s team to help shape the company’s brand and develop PR and marketing campaigns that promote its restaurant concepts. Bullfrog + Baum will handle all national and local media relationships for Barteca’s restaurant operations and individual properties.

New York-based Bullfrog + Baum was founded in 2000 by president Jennifer Baum.
