Darragh joins FTI from the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where he served as executive VP of global strategies and expanded GMA’s international program, then a new role at the association. Previously, he was executive VP for international affairs at Biotechnology Industry Organization, where he directed diplomatic, legislative, regulatory and communications strategy, and was also international deputy VP at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association.

Darragh previously served in several U.S. government positions, including principal deputy assistant secretary of defense, principal trade negotiator at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and senior advisor to the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He also served on the White House National Security Council staff as director for global issues and multilateral affairs.

At FTI, Darragh will advise clients and work with senior advisors in both the United States and globally to develop strategies for the agency’s public affairs clients. He will report to Jackson Dunn, senior managing director in FTI's strategic communications group, who said Darragh’s “track record on a number of key political and policy issues in highly regulated industries such as healthcare and life sciences further strengthens our ability to advise the world’s most important business leaders on political and regulatory issues of strategic significance.”
