Global Strategy Group has opened a Seattle office under the leadership of Josh Chaitin to hub its corporate social responsibility operations.
He’s co-founder of PRPOSE, boutique CSR shop, and former lead of Edelman’s Business + Social Purpose practice in Seattle. Chaitin, who has more than 20 years of PR experience, has worked with clients such as Starbucks, Nordstrom and REI.
In joining GSG, Chaitin praised the New York-based shop’s “experience in data-based communications, measurement and a focus on ROI,” which will enable CSR clients to “create positive change while demonstrating the value of impact-driven work.”
GSG’s Seattle and west coast clients include Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Vulcan, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Subaru.
The firm also has offices in DC, Hartford, Denver and Chicago.

Support for corporate social responsibility initiatives among public relations professionals has declined consistently each year for the past three years, according to the latest USC Global Communications Report.
True purpose-driven marketing isn’t about a one-off campaign. It’s about embedding values into the core of business operations. It's ensuring that marketing reflects genuine actions. It’s thoughtfully executed, authentic storytelling.
Brunswick Group has added Julia Giannini as a partner in its sustainable business practice to advise clients on societal and environmental matters.
