The International Assn. of Business Communicators and the UK’s PRCA have signed an agreement to work together across the EMENA region.
The arrangement calls for co-promotion of events, participation in each other’s events, and discounts for meetings, according to their statement.
Francis Ingham, director general of PRCA, praised IABC for providing a "huglely important role within the global business communications community. Both groups, he added, "share many values, not least the importance of raising standards in professionalism and ethics."
Alex Malouf, regional chair of IABC EMENA, credited PRCA for promoting "the importance of communications as a strategic function globally." He predicted the collaboration will result in achievements in education, ethics and professionalism.


Roger Bolton plans to step down as CEO of Page, the association of strategic communicators, at the end of the year following a 13-year run.
