Prosek Partners has named Josh Clarkson vice president. Clarkson returns to Prosek after spending 18 months at Gladstone Place Partners as a vice president, working on financial and strategic communications issues with a focus on M&A, activist shareholder preparation, and CEO-level corporate communications programs. Before that, he was an associate vice president at Prosek, supporting clients in such areas as the credit markets, including distressed debt investing, and shareholder activism. Clarkson will be based in Prosek’s New York office. Other recent hires at Prosek include Maria Gonzalez from Goldman Sachs (now VP at Prosek), Trevor Gibbons from Joele Frank (now SVP at Prosek), David Wells from Goldman Sachs (now Partner at Prosek).

PMK•BNC has promoted Cary Kwok to senior vice president in the agency’s brand marketing and communications division. A gaming, technology and children's content and product specialist, Kwok joined PMK•BNC in January 2017 to lead its communications business for Samsung Mobile. She has also served as account lead for its Activision business, working on such gaming franchises at Call of Duty and Crash Brandicoot. Before coming to PMK•BMC, she led product PR for Nintendo at Golin for 11 years. PMK•BNC COO Bill Rosenthal says that Kwok “brings a level of excellence to several disciplines including thought leadership, experiential marketing and influencer relations, and is a key contributor to our new business initiatives."

Slate PR has promoted Elyse Weissman and Rachael Trager to vice president, according to Deadline. Weissman, who is based in the agency’s Hollywood office, joined the company in 2014. She handles Slate’s campaigns for clients including the Critics’ Choice Awards, American Music Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, the Motion Picture & Television Fund and other events. Before coming to Slate, she worked at 5W Public Relations and Rubenstein Communications. Trager, who works out of Slate’s New York headquarters, joined the company in 2013. She oversees PR for events including the Vanity Fair Oscar party, the Tony Awards, Billboard Music Awards, the NBA Awards, National Board of Review, and the GLAAD Media Awards alongside Weissman. She was previously national publicity coordinator for Focus Features.
