The 2020 PRSA-NY Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations from members for the Chapter’s next executive committee and board of directors. The open call for nominations has a deadline of Aug. 27.
For its executive committee, PRSA is looking to fill the positions of president-elect; vice president, membership; vice president, marketing; vice president, programming; secretary and treasurer.
The following directors-at-large/delegates positions are also up for election: Big Apple Awards, senior director; 15 Under 35 Awards, senior director; marketing, senior director; marketing, associate director; membership, senior director and programming, senior director.
“There is a lot of exciting and rewarding work for chapter board members to do, most especially in the areas of diversity and ethics,” said Sharon Fenster, PRSA-NY immediate past president, chairperson of the 2020 Nominating Committee, and CEO of Sharon Fenster Consulting LLC.
The elections will take place on Oct. 23. Each nominee must be a current member of PRSA-NY.


Roger Bolton plans to step down as CEO of Page, the association of strategic communicators, at the end of the year following a 13-year run.
Sherrie Mazur will join the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation as managing director, of communications on Feb. 14.
Independent Diplomat, the nonprofit that promotes democracy by organizing opposition movements and activists, has trained its sights on Venezuela.
Robert Tappan has joined the International BioMetrics + Identity Assoc., the trade group for the identity technology industry.
Tiffany Haverly, who was at Finsbury Glover Hering, has joined the Internet Association as director of communications.
