NP Strategy, a strategic communications subsidiary of the Nexsen Pruet law firm has hired Alfred Leach as senior advisor. Most recently, Leach served as president of Leach Advisors, a Raleigh, NC-based business consulting firm. He was previously president and chief strategy officer at Baering, and has held executive positions with the New York Times, Burson-Marstellar, Dun & Bradstreet and Deloitte. Based in NP’s Raleigh office, Leach will work to grow the firm’s client base into North Carolina’s Research Triangle. He will also work with the Charlotte NP strategy team to extend client services across North Carolina.

CBS News has promoted Samantha Graham from executive director of communications to vice president of communications. Before coming to CBS, Graham served as vice president of public relations at Turner Broadcasting, press rep to the film and video department at the Museum of Modern Art and development coordinator at the American Film Institute. At CBS, she worked mainly with “CBS This Morning” and “CBS This Morning: Saturday,” guiding publicity efforts for breaking stories, interviews and live coverage of such events as the 2016 political conventions. “Samantha has been an advocate for the programs and all of her CTM colleagues since she joined,” said CBS News senior VP of communications Christa Robinson.

Chicago-based SRW, which specializes in natural health and wellness brands, has hired Bennett Dixon as the firm’s first vice president of accounts and strategy. Dixon was previously director of brand, creative & content for W.W. Grainger. He has also served as director of advertising & brand strategy for Charles Schwab, content development manager for Miller Brewing and senior vice president, account director for Leo Burnett.
