BerlinRosen has appointed Kelly Vingelis as vice president of digital advertising. Vingelis joins Berlin Rosen from Revolution Messaging, where she was vice president of advertising, planning, placing, optimizing and reporting on media plans for national candidates and advocacy organizations. Before that, she worked at GMMB, where she planned and bought media across platforms. At BerlinRosen, Vingelis leads the team responsible for increasing the firm’s digital advertising capabilities. Since it was officially established in 2014, BerlinRosen’s digital practice has grown to more than 30 experts, delivering digital services to clients including Supermajority, Color of Change, Southern Environmental Law Center and Texas Civil Rights Project.

The Lupus Research Alliance has named Penny Mitchell senior director of marketing and communications. Mitchell most recently served as executive vice president, health practice lead at Makovsky. Previously, she was U.S. health practice lead for Hill & Knowlton Strategies, and has held executive positions at dna/Weber Shandwick, FleishmanHillard and Porter Novelli. Mitchell has launched communications campaigns for pharmaceutical companies working in lupus as well as psoriasis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease and thyroid disorders. In her new role, Ms. Mitchell will oversee LRA’s strategic communications approach to leading lupus research worldwide and raising awareness of the value of participation by all sectors of the lupus community.

G&S Business Communications has promoted Jennifer Becker and Katie Klaas to vice president. Becker has been with G&S since 2005, most recently serving as client service manager. She has developed and led successful teams and provided strategic counsel to various agribusiness clients, as well as coordinating the agency’s project management group, primarily in the Raleigh office. Klass has been with the agency for 22 years, playing a key role in growing its agribusiness practice. In addition to managing multiple cross-functional teams to produce business growth for some of the agency’s key accounts, she serves as the head of the Chicago staff management group.
