Ketner Group Communications has promoted Catherine Seeds to president from senior VP. Agency founder and president Jeff Ketner will take on the role of CEO as part of the leadership transition. Seeds has been with the agency since 2002 and played an instrumental role in the opening of its offices in New York and Nashville earlier this year. As president and partner, she will work closely with Ketner and the agency’s senior leadership team to guide the agency’s growth and expansion, focusing on key accounts, business development and agency culture. Ketner Group focuses on B2B technology and professional services clients in a number of markets including adtech/martech, legal, IT, healthcare and other areas.

American Friends of Tel Aviv University has appointed Kelly Grunther as the organization’s vice president of marketing and communications. Grunther joins AFTAU from UJA-Federation of New York, where she served as assistant director of its entertainment, marketing and communications group. She was previously founder and president of Kelly Grunther Public Relations, which represented clients in sports, entertainment, health care, fashion, beauty and business that included the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the NFL Player Care Foundation and the Foxwoods/MGM Grand. AFTAU supports Tel Aviv University, which educates 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students a year and is ranked ninth in the world for producing startup founders of billion-dollar companies.

PRSA-NY has installed Kellie Jelencovich, public relations manager at Travel Leaders Group, as its 2020 president. Jelencovich oversaw the 2019 Big Apple Awards, and was one of the inaugural winners of the PRSA-NY 15 Under 35 Awards. Among those joining Jelencovich on the PRSA-NY 2020 executive committee are Clear founding partner Andrew Graham, who will serve as president-elect; RiverSpring VP of communications Wendy Steinberg, who will be vice president (marketing); Penny Mitchell of Penny Mitchell Public Relations, who will be VP (membership) and IAS director of corporate communications Angela Barnett, who will be VP (programs).
