G&S Business Communications has appointed Dana Ferrell as managing director of its 83-person Raleigh office. She succeeds Kerry Henderson, who has been with the agency for 25 years and has been Raleigh managing director since 2009. Ferrell has been with G&S since 1999, most recently serving as vice president. In her new position, she is responsible for the Raleigh office’s operations and growth. Ferrell assumed the Raleigh MD role on Feb. 1. Henderson will stay until March 31 to ensure a smooth transition of the office. New York-based G&S also has offices in Chicago and Basel, Switzerland.
Brendan Ward |
APCO Worldwide has named Brendan Ward creative director in the agency’s Raleigh office. Before coming to APCO, Ward founded Harbor Studio, a creative strategy firm in Durham, NC, and Kaleida, a self-funded, member-owned arts and activism collective offering creative workspaces for residents of Durham. He has overseen marketing and branding campaigns across several market sectors. “Brendan’s expertise in the creative industry has consistently driven innovative branding and dynamic solutions, fostering design-oriented leadership and thinking,” said APCO managing director, Raleigh, Courtney Crowder. The addition of Ward follows the recent appointment of Crowder as well as that of Karen Hagens as senior director.

Bastion Elevate has promoted Dave Feistel to vice president. Feistel has headed Bastion Elevate’s PR division since 2011, and has experience in healthcare, finance, technology, B2B and B2C clientele. In his new position, he will continue to run the PR department and will be actively involved in the management of the firm’s PR accounts. He will also grow his management role as the company expands its service offerings and employment opportunities. Bastion Elevate is part of Bastion Collective, a global communications agency with offices in Los Angeles, Australia and Shanghai.

Kyocera Document Solutions America has named José María Estébanez senior director, integrated marketing communications. Estébanez has been with Kyocera since 2016, most recently serving as head of EMEA marketing & digital transformation at Kyocera Documents Solutions Europe, where he played a major role in the renewal of the organization’s brand identity in addition to leading the launch of a website and digital offering. He was previously manager, digital marketing at Deloitte España. Kyocera Document Solutions America president Óscar Sánchez said that Estébanez’s “success across the board in the European region, aligning with our global headquarters in Japan, means that he is fully on board with our plans.”
