SoundExchange, which works to distribute music royalties to creator groups and advocate for fair pay across all platforms, has appointed Esther-Mireya Tejeda as chief marketing and communications officer. Tejada joins SoundExchange from audio and entertainment company Entercom, where she was senior vice president and head of corporate communications. Before that, she served as director of corporate communications at Univision and manager of public relations at PepsiCo. In her new post, she will oversee SoundExchange’s brand strategy and marketing, global communications and public relations, industry relations, and public policy groups. “Esther brings a unique blend of experience, talent, and ability to find innovative solutions that will enable SoundExchange to drive positive change in the industry and advocate on behalf of music creators,” said SoundExchange president and CEO Michael Huppe.
