Finsbury Glover Hering hires Igor Khrestin to serve as a managing director in its Washington, D.C. office. Khrestin joins FGH from the office of Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO), where he was national security advisor while also serving as staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy. He previously worked for Representative and then-Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL), where he served as the staff lead for foreign relations, trade, and appropriations matters. Before his time on Capitol Hill, he was an international policy analyst at BGR Group. “His deep understanding of the evolving Pacific Rim region, experience tackling today’s cybersecurity challenges, and proven record of coalition-building across Capitol Hill, the executive branch and the private sector will be valuable assets to our clients.” said FGH partner Brett O’Brien.

Hot Paper Lantern names Philip Leif Bjerknes senior vice president of marketing. Before joining HPL, Bjerknes was a partner and marketing director at Alldayeveryday, a hybrid agency and production company whose clients included Coach, Diesel and Equinox. He has also served as executive producer at Readymade Studios and has worked for Gucci and Prada. In his new post, he is tasked with creating marketing campaigns tp help clients raise awareness of their brands and products. HPL has also brought on Nicholas Jackson as creative director and Emily Cottone as social media lead.

8x8, an integrated cloud communications platform, appoints Amritesh Chaudhuri executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Most recently, Chaudhuri led marketing at RingCentral. Previously, he led marketing for Oracle’s Cloud Platform portfolio and was responsible for setting the leadership vision and execution strategy to drive growth and adoption for Oracle's PaaS and IaaS services. Former CMO Marge Breya will continue to advise 8x8 as a consultant. “Amrit brings deep experience running marketing teams at scale and excels in leading go-to-market strategy in high velocity markets such as the cloud communications industry,” said 8x8 CEO Dave Sipes.
