Banner Public Affairs hires Cory Capps as vice president of digital strategy. Capps will also lead the agency’s new Denver office. She joins Banner from Denver-based 90octane, where she was account director. Previously, she worked at ideabar and Momentum Worldwide, and has supported such clients as the U.S. Army, United Airlines and Kraft. “Cory Capps is the perfect addition to spearhead digital strategy initiatives and lead the Denver office at Banner Public Affairs,” said firm partner Lynn Stinson. “As a talented digital strategist, Cory’s strengths in traditional, digital and experiential marketing will help guide our clients toward success.”

Glen Echo Group brings on Phil Sgro as a director. Sgro joins Glen Echo from the Duke Energy Corporation, where he was a spokesperson and managed communications for the company on issues related to the energy, technology and cybersecurity sectors. He was previously with Raffetto Herman Strategic Communications and has served as deputy director for the New Jersey Energy Coalition. “His corporate communications savvy and knowledge of cybersecurity, energy and infrastructure will immediately benefit our clients and partners,” said Glen Echo Group founder and CEO Maura Corbett.

OneMain Financial, No. 1 installment lender to consumers with nonprime credit, names Peter Poillon head of investor relations. Poillon was most recently senior vice president and director of investor relations at Fiserv, which merged with First Data Corp in 2019. He had led investor relations strategy at First Data since 2015. Poillon has also served as senior vice president for investor relations for Willis Group Holdings, a global insurance broker. “We will benefit greatly from his significant experience in investor relations and strong understanding of capital markets, financial communications and relationship-building across the financial services industry,” said OneMain CFO Micah Conrad.
