BerlinRosen has recruited MikeWorldWide senior VP-corporate communications Chip Garner for the executive VP slot.
At MWW, Garner focused on reputation management, social strategy, executive publicity and multicultural marketing.
Prior to MWW, Garner was VP-PR British Airways, senior VP at Ogilvy, and VP digital strategy at Rubenstein Communications.
Valerie Berlin and Jonathan Rosen also elevated Andy McDonald to the principal position.
Since joining BerlinRosen in 2010 from Pew Charitable Trusts, McDonald has grown the firm’s issue advocacy unit from a single person to a practice of more than 100 strategists.
New York-based BerlinRosen represents clients in entertainment, media, racial justice, healthcare, real estate, technology, issue advocacy and workers’ rights communications.
The independent shop has 235 strategists. Women represent 63 percent of the firm’s management. Forty-five percent of staff identify as BIPOC.
Ramiro Prudencio, who did a more than 25 year stint at Burson and its predecessor firms, has joined Brunswick Group as a partner in London.
