Whirlpool Corporation promotes Pamela Klyn to senior vice president, communications, public affairs and sustainability, effective Jan. 1. Klyn previously served as vice president - global product organization. In her new role, Klyn will guide all communications for the company and take a leadership role in government relations. She succeeds current corporate vice president, communications and public affairs D. Jeffrey Noel, who will retire in mid-2022. “Pam has been an outstanding leader at Whirlpool. She brings not only a strong technical understanding of the products and the types of purposeful innovation that exceed our customer's expectations, but also a commitment to bettering the communities around her," said Whirlpool Corporation chairman and CEO Marc Bitzer. As part of the transition, Eleanor Reece has been promoted from senior director of global communications to vice president of global communications.

Moody's Corporation names Christine Elliott managing director – global head of corporate affairs, a newly created role. Before joining Moody’s as global head of communications and branding earlier this year, Elliott was executive vice president worldwide communications at Mastercard and chief communications officer at S&P Global. In her new position, she heads an entity that brings together Moody’s global communications & brand management, corporate social responsibility (including the Moody’s Foundation), and government relations & regulatory affairs. “Christine has significantly evolved our approach to communications and brand management since joining Moody’s, and she is well-positioned to further enhance our outreach, engagement, and external relationships,” said Moody’s president and chief executive officer Rob Fauber.

Ford Hutman Media, a life science-focused strategic communications firm, appoints Julia Fuller as executive vice president, effective immediately. Fuller joins FHM from Medtronic, where she most recently led communications for the cardiovascular diagnostics & services operating unit. Before coming to Medtronic, she was senior account director with W2O Group (now Real Chemistry). At FHM, Fuller will serve as a senior counselor and strategic account lead for FHM’s client roster, as well as helping to expand the agency’s capabilities in social media and internal communications. “Julia’s in-house expertise and agency experience is a perfect fit for our growing client roster. She has been in our client’s shoes and overcome the same challenges,” sais FHM chief executive officer Rachel Ford Hutman.
