The Castle Group names Sharon Torgerson as chief communications officer. Torgerson was most recently director of corporate communications for Mass General Brigham. In 2020, she was deployed by the administration of Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker to lead communications for the state’s Covid Command Center. She has also served as assistant secretary of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Along with newly appointed director of public affairs Taylor Connolly, Torgerson will lead The Castle Group’s expanded public affairs practice. Connolly previously headed up communications efforts for Boston’s newly established economic development cabinet. “Sharon and Taylor, who bring both public and private experience from some of Boston and Massachusetts’ largest industries and organizations, are a welcome asset to our clients,” said Castle co-founder and principal Sandy Lish.

Invitation Homes appoints Philip Yi senior vice president, marketing. Before joining Invitation Homes, Yi was founder and CEO of consultancy and investment firm Modus Digital, He was previously head of marketing at Omni Hotels & Resorts, and held marketing and business development roles at JC Penney, Sid Mashburn and McKinsey & Company. Invitation Homes chief operating officer said that Yi fills the company’s need for “a strong leader who understands consumer behavior and can ensure we provide the experiences that help us retain the trust and loyalty of our residents.”
