Vice Media Group brings on Netflix director of communications Jonathan Bing as chief communications officer. Before joining Netflix, Bing founded Freud Communications' Los Angeles office and consulted for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Disney and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. In his new position, he will lead Vice Media's communications strategy across brands including Vice News, Vice TV, Vice Studios and Refinery 29. "His well-rounded knowledge of news, film, television, and culture will directly and positively impact our business," said Vice Media Group CEO Nancy Dubuc.

Goodwin, a law firm serving "innovators and investors," appoints Konstantin Shishkin as its first chief communications officer. Shishkin has been with Goodwin since January 2015, most recently serving as managing director of marketing and communications. He previously held press and media relations posts at Deutsche Bank and New York Life and was a director at Weber Shandwick. As CCO, Shishkin will oversee all creative marketing and communications strategies for the firm and its clients. He reports directly to Goodwin COO Michael Caplan. "Kon's deep knowledge of our firm, understanding of our clients' industries, and creative and fresh approach to marketing and communications positions us well to continue to set us apart in the competitive market," said Goodwin managing partner Mark Bettencourt.

SmartLinx, which provides cloud-based workforce management solutions, hires Michelle Holmes to lead marketing as vice president. Holmes was most recently vice president and chief marketing officer of the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center. Before that, she was with AT&T for 18 years in a variety of positions including area vice president of marketing for AT&T Global Business Solutions. At SmartLinx, Holmes will oversee corporate marketing endeavors focused on raising brand recognition and accelerating the company's growth in the healthcare industry. "Michelle's reputation of challenging the status quo is a welcome asset to our organization as we usher in a new era of digital transformation in the healthcare industry," said SmartLinx CEO Marina Aslanyan.
