Fahlgren Mortine announced today that it has promoted executive vice president Marty McDonald to the role of president.
McDonald’s new role becomes effective September 1. She becomes FM’s first female president since the agency was founded in 1962.
McDonald succeeds Neil Mortine in the president role. Mortine retains the title of CEO and adds the new title of chairman.
McDonald has been with FM for nearly two dozen years. Prior to becoming EVP, she was senior VP and tourism practice leader. She joined the agency in 2000 as an account associate.
In her new role as president, McDonald will focus on daily operations, delivery of FM’s services and new growth strategies to further strengthen the agency’s core practice areas. Mortine will continue guiding the agency’s vision, culture and growth, and will work closely with McDonald and the executive team.
Columbus, OH-based Fahlgren Mortine accounted for more than $30 million in net fees last year, according to O’Dwyer’s rankings of PR firms. The agency also owns New York-based travel and lifestyle shop Turner.
