BCW has revamped its global communications, brand and marketing functions.

Catherine Sullivan, who was EVP-global communications at BCW, is upped to global chief communications officer of the BCW Group, which includes BCW, GCI Health, AxiCom, Direct Impact, Goodfuse, HZ and Prime Policy Group.

She joined BCW’s predecessor company, Burson-Marsteller in 2014 following stints at Porter Novelli, MSL, Publicis Dialog, Gibbs & Soell (now G&S Business Communications) and Cohn & Wolfe.

Sullivan reports to CEO Donna Imperato, who said: “No one knows our industry, the issues and the opportunities better than Catherine.”

Rebecca Grant has been named global chief brand officer, responsible for supporting BCW’s Moving People brand promise. She will oversee proprietary research, thought leadership, tools and campaigns that comprise the Moving People platform.

Grant, a 12-year veteran of the firm, will continue in her role as BCW’s UK chief. Before BCW, she was at Cohn & Wolfe, Weber Shandwick, Red Consultancy and MSL.

BCW also announced that Melanie Mitchem recently joined the firm as EVP, global marketing to raise its visibility in the marketplace. She was SVP, executive director of global communications and PR at FCB Global.

Earlier, Mitchem ran her own firm, M2, handling luxury, and philanthropic brands and did stints at IPG’s Mediabrands and Universal, as well as Omnicom’s PHD Media and BBDO units.

WPP owns BCW.
