Community Health Systems, which owns or leases 78 affiliated hospitals, brings on J. Anton Hie as VP of investor relations. Hie comes to Community Health Systems from AdaptHealth Corp., where he also held the VP of investor relations role, establishing the company’s internal investor relations department. Before that, he was an assistant VP at RBC Capital Markets for 12 years, and he has also held positions with Jefferies Asset Management, First Union Securities, and J.C. Bradford & Co. “His knowledge of the healthcare services industry will support effective communications of the value we deliver to our shareholders, and we are excited to welcome him to our team, said Community Health Systems president and CFO Kevin Hammons.

Avant, a Chicago-based, credit-first fintech, names Amanda Reierson as CMO, a newly created position at the company. Reierson was previously head of marketing at home services app Thumbtack, overseeing all branding/creative efforts, media, CRM and product marketing. Before that, she served as chief growth officer at Farmers Insurance and has also held senior positions at Yahoo!, DIRECTV and the Los Angeles Times. At Avant, Reierson will be responsible for brand, growth marketing and partnerships. She is based in California and will report to CEO Matt Bochenek.

Gibson Brands promotes Elizabeth Heidt to CMO. Heidt has been with the company since 2016, previously serving as VP, head of global cultural influence. Before that, she led the experience marketing program at Technicolor and was a brand director at PMK•BNC. She will now lead all of Gibson’s marketing initiatives globally, while continuing to oversee all aspects of cultural influence. “She has been a thought partner, leader, and a key player in shaping and implementing our global strategy,” said Gibson Brands president and interim CEO Cesar Gueikian, who also called her “a critical voice in how we engage with fans around the world.”
